1. Acceptance + eligibility
By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the applicable service. You must be at least 18 years old to make a payment or enter into a binding commercial commitment through the site. A parent, guardian or authorized representative must act for a minor when required.
2. Accounts + security
You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding credentials and activity conducted through your account. Do not share staff/admin credentials. Notify VoF250 promptly of suspected unauthorized access. We may suspend or restrict an account when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, abuse prevention or protection of the event and its participants.
3. Payments + Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe or another identified payment provider. You authorize the amount displayed at checkout and represent that you are authorized to use the payment method. Prices are stated in U.S. dollars unless otherwise shown. A browser “success” page is not the sole evidence of payment; VoF250 may verify payment status directly with the processor before fulfillment.
4. Contributions + tax treatment
A payment labeled as a contribution or donation supports the stated VoF250 purpose, subject to the applicable campaign language. The website does not promise that a payment is tax-deductible. Tax treatment depends on the recipient entity, benefits received and applicable law. Only an authorized written acknowledgment that expressly states deductible treatment, if any, should be relied on for that purpose. Consult your own tax advisor.
5. Sponsorships
Honor Pass sponsorships fund eligible participant access as described on the sponsorship page. Other sponsorship benefits, deliverables, exclusivity, branding, production obligations and payment schedules are governed by the applicable written proposal or sponsorship agreement. A checkout payment does not create rights or benefits beyond those written terms. Sponsorships may involve substantial return benefits and should not automatically be treated as charitable gifts.
6. Tickets + credentials
Tickets and credentials are subject to the Event Terms and Refund/Cancellation Policy. QR codes, Honor Pass credentials and other access tokens are issued for authorized use and may be single-use. Copying, counterfeiting, selling unauthorized access, defeating check-in controls or using another person’s credential without permission is prohibited.
7. Veterans Village + Mission Forward
Participation fees reserve the package, footprint, table, credential allocation, program element or other benefit described at checkout, subject to final floor plans, safety rules, venue constraints and any written participation agreement. Placement references such as “premium,” “corner,” or “high-traffic” are subject to final operational availability. Participation does not guarantee leads, sales, hires, interviews, media exposure, attendance levels or business outcomes.
Deposits may represent only the amount due to secure participation; the full investment shown in the applicable package, quote or agreement may remain payable.
8. Custom Mission Forward packages
Custom requests are not purchases until an authorized scope and secure checkout are issued. A custom checkout link reflects the scope and amount shown in the related quote. Checkout sessions can expire and may need to be regenerated. A separate written agreement or proposal controls if it conflicts with website summary language.
9. User submissions + veteran stories
You represent that material you submit is yours to submit and does not violate another person’s rights. Routine form submissions may be used as reasonably necessary to operate the requested service. Veteran stories, recordings, photographs and likeness rights are different: publication, preservation, licensing or promotional rights should be governed by the specific release/consent presented for that storytelling experience. We do not use these general Terms to silently replace a more specific veteran consent choice.
10. Intellectual property + brand
VoF250 names, logos, graphics, designs, site content, event concepts, copy, photographs, recordings and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and may be used only as authorized. Partners receiving toolkit assets must follow current brand guidelines and may not imply military, government, Department of Defense or other third-party endorsement without lawful authorization.
11. Prohibited conduct
Do not attempt unauthorized access; interfere with site security; scrape or harvest personal information in violation of law; impersonate another person or organization; upload malware; conduct fraud; misuse veteran information; infringe rights; harass or threaten others; or use VoF250 systems for unlawful, deceptive or unauthorized commercial activity.
12. Third-party services
Stripe, email providers, mapping/social platforms, wallet providers, external links and other third-party services are governed by their own terms. VoF250 is not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, although we select providers to support the operation of the site and event.
13. Changes, availability + force majeure
We may update site features, schedules, speakers, artists, floor plans, vendors, program elements, benefits or operating details as reasonably necessary. Events can be affected by weather, public safety, venue issues, government action, labor disruption, transportation interruption, illness, acts of God or other circumstances beyond reasonable control. Refund/credit rights, if any, are governed by the Refund/Cancellation Policy and applicable written agreements/law.
14. Disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in a written agreement and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and general information are provided on an “as available” basis. VoF250 does not warrant uninterrupted operation or specific employment, commercial, fundraising, attendance, publicity, networking or personal outcomes. Information on the site is not legal, tax, accounting, employment or medical advice.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoF250 and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, affiliates and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from use of the site or participation in the event, except where such limitation is prohibited. Any mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain in effect.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful conduct, breach of these Terms, infringement of another party’s rights, or misuse of VoF250 systems. This provision does not require a consumer to indemnify VoF250 for VoF250’s own conduct where prohibited by law.
17. Governing law + disputes
Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any non-waivable consumer rights, disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Harris County, Texas. Before filing a claim, we encourage you to contact us so the issue can be reviewed promptly.
18. General
If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect to the extent lawful. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Written program, sponsorship, participation or vendor agreements can supplement or override these Terms for their subject matter. We may revise these Terms prospectively by posting an updated version.
