Veterans.
Community.
Forward.
The Muster is the community that continues after Voices of Freedom 250 leaves town—giving veterans, veteran-serving organizations, employers, educators, service providers, and local leaders a place to stay connected and keep working together.
Great events end.
Veteran needs do not.
Voices of Freedom 250 can put thousands of veterans in the same place as the organizations that serve them, employers that want to hire them, educators, providers, and community leaders. The Muster exists so those introductions do not disappear when the event ends. It gives each community a place to keep meeting, keep coordinating, and make it easier for veterans to reach the people already doing the work.

What begins in one room should have somewhere to continue.
The Muster gives the people brought together through Voices of Freedom 250 a shared local home afterward: veterans, VSOs, employers, educators, providers, and community leaders who want to stay connected and keep working together.
Bring people together
Voices of Freedom 250 creates a rare concentration of veterans and the people, organizations, and opportunities available to them.
Make the connections useful
Participants can see who else is involved, what they do, and how to stay in contact after the event.
Meet again
Local leaders continue the relationship through recurring Musters, partner gatherings, and community activity.
Connect veterans to help
When a veteran asks for support, a consent-based Warm Handoff can connect that request to a participating organization.
Strengthen the local network
Local leaders can see what is working, where relationships are growing, and where the community still needs stronger connections.

Find the Muster connected to where you live, serve, or work.
Search by city, ZIP, state, country, or military installation. Active communities open directly into their local home.

One network, built community by community.
Every Muster has its own local home for events, participating organizations, member communication, support requests, and the people responsible for carrying the work forward.

The Muster — Houston
Houston’s local Muster community: a place for veterans, organizations, employers, educators, service providers, and community leaders to stay connected after Voices of Freedom 250.
Enter community →Local leaders carry the community.
They set the calendar, convene participating organizations, communicate with members, and keep relationships active between major events.
Shared standards make local participation trustworthy.
National protects the brand, technology, privacy, consent, financial stewardship, and operating standards that support every local Muster.

Give local collaboration somewhere to live.
A recurring community should not depend on a national office to schedule every gathering or make every introduction. The Muster gives approved local leaders practical tools to keep the work moving while National maintains the standards behind it.
Events and Gatherings
Create public event pages, manage registration, communicate changes, track attendance, and follow up afterward.
Participating Organizations
Keep service information current, show where each organization participates, and identify who is available to receive Warm Handoffs.
Member Communication
Send updates to members who have chosen to receive them, while keeping the underlying member data inside the system.
National reach without taking the local room away from local leaders.
Organizations with Posts, Chapters, Departments, Detachments, or other local units can help their people participate at scale while each local unit keeps its identity, leadership, and relationships.
Local units remain themselves.
The Muster does not replace an organization’s membership system, programs, command structure, or brand. It gives local units a shared community layer where they can participate alongside other trusted organizations.
National can support without operating every city.
National leadership can establish participation expectations and understand where its organization is active while local leaders continue to own the relationships and rhythm in their community.
Data stays governed.
The Muster is designed so authorized leaders can understand participation without receiving unrestricted access to veterans or to another organization’s member data.
A Warm Handoff gives someone a person.
Veterans should be able to ask for help without first understanding the entire service landscape. With the veteran’s consent, The Muster can help a local coordinator connect the request to an appropriate participating organization and keep the next step visible. Sponsorship or partnership status never determines where a request is routed.
The veteran identifies the areas where a connection would be useful.
Contact information is shared only after the veteran explicitly agrees to the Warm Handoff.
A participating organization can acknowledge, accept, redirect, or close the handoff so the request has a visible next step.

Keep your local connection in one place.
Joining a local Muster gives members one place to manage their profile and preferences, register for events, stay connected to local activity, and access approved member opportunities when they are made available.

Event Access
Advance registration or member access windows when an approved experience makes them available.
Member Gatherings
Local or national gatherings, receptions, hospitality, and experiences created specifically for the Muster community.
Community Benefits
Tickets or other limited benefits can be allocated to participating Musters using clear eligibility and claim rules.

Help local Muster activity continue after the tour moves on.
In participating tour markets, Voices of Freedom 250 can designate a local allocation for approved Muster gatherings and community activity. Local leaders propose how those resources are used; National provides financial stewardship and records the use.

Voices of Freedom 250 creates the gathering.
The Muster carries the relationships forward.
The tour can create thousands of introductions in a day. The Muster gives those relationships a local place to continue—through recurring gatherings, current organization information, member communication, and direct connections when a veteran needs help.

Local communities can take more than one form.
The same model can serve a city, a metro area, a military installation community, or eventually an approved overseas service community. Expansion should follow trusted local leadership and the partnerships required to operate well in each place.
