Create a place for the local veteran community to keep meeting.
The strongest local hosts already know the veterans, organizations, employers, educators, and service providers in their area—and are willing to help bring them into regular relationship through The Muster.
Organizations trusted enough to bring the room together.
VFW Posts are one example of organizations that may be well-positioned to host because they already have local veteran relationships and a physical presence. The same opportunity can apply to other trusted veteran-serving organizations and community partners where appropriate.
Local credibility
Veterans and community partners know the organization, understand its role, and can see a reason to gather there.
Convening capacity
Named people are willing to maintain the calendar, bring participating organizations together, communicate with members, and keep the local Muster active.
Shared commitments
The host agrees to The Muster’s standards for privacy, consent, accessibility, safety, nonpartisan community service, and Warm Handoffs.
